| Through participation in Constellation NewEnergy's Minimize Volatile Pricing (MVP) program, the Maryland Science Center significantly reduced its exposure to electricity price volatility through an automatic time-diversifying lock-in program.
Using MVP, percentages of the Maryland Science Center's electricity load were systematically locked-in each month over a specified purchasing period. For each purchase, the MVP algorithm determined how much energy to lock-in, with larger percentages locked-in if prices were low compared to historical norms. At the end of the purchasing period, Maryland Science Center's systematic, time-diversifying purchases resulted in a net fixed price for its service term.

| Constellation NewEnergy helped USM develop a customized load response program for two of its campuses. USM was able to commit to a load reduction of 1.15 megawatts in the ISO-New England load response program.
The USM program utilizes existing building automation systems and enables staff to shut down HVAC equipment at both campuses from a central location. The program provides a solid foundation for future energy improvements.
